Road’s Rear View

Pack those cares
And stand upon still
Carry me those sighs
I’ll climb the peak of a hill

I’ll go ahead and get lost
From this place of no care
I'll go to a place whose afar
Will go anywhere

Farewell to flickering lights
To cold bench sideways
To lone, I wait for nothing
On a highway of passing busses

I'll leave you all
For somebody who cares
For somebody who longs
For even a bit of my presence

Farewell as I go
That to woo you all no more
Dim and dark days done
With true hopes begone
